An essay-review of David Caplan’s Questions of Possibility: Contemporary Poetry and Poetic Form, one which tries to show how, even while it clearly is an object of real interest in discussions of contemporary poetry and poetics, the poetic turn is occluded by the ways we tend to discuss poetry and poetics.
